Was more into Cook/JJ myself. I admittedly don't remember the series all that well, but was this the only time they kissed? (Er, or Cook kissed him, anyway. Doesn't look like Freddie's responding.) Even if not that doesn't necessarily mean they were canon, but if you ship it that shouldn't matter imo.

Nah, they kissed a few times this way when the going got really tough, like how Brian and Michael did in Queer as Folk.

I wouldn't call the amount of times Brian and Michael kissed a few, but now that I know this it puts things into perspective. Even if they weren't officially canon, making out with your close friend always screams 'unresolved sexual tension' to me, so I can see why it might cross your mind, and why it might be a possibility.
