Re: Do you ever lose respect for someone because of shipping preferences?
As an example, and call back to Snape secret yesterday: If you ship Snape/Lily because you just like the idea of it, maybe thinking if this or that had gone differently it would have worked. Awesome.
If you ship Snape/Lily thinking she was a horrible, gold-digging, ungrateful, bitch who owed Snape her love for just giving the time of day, and that Snape deserves whatever he desires regardless of how anyone else feels including the object of his desire? That is really fucking creepy, and disgusting.
