So I decided to look around to see if there were any trailers for this yet and found some interesting things. Firstly, it's been re-written and re-shot, so the release date was pushed back. Secondly...they're staying true to the book this time. That means blond Annabeth, Mr.D at camp, and Thalia/Kronos are going to be mentioned.

This...is mixed for me. I'm really happy that they're going back to the source material, but the continuity from the first movie to the second is going to be terrible.

But on the plus side... if the continuity is terrible, doesn't that mean the writers are trying to wipe the previous film out of canon existence?

Yep. I'm really excited for it now, since I love the books. Just going to be a little weird.
