(Anonymous) 2012-10-13 02:47 am (UTC)(link)And there's a huge, elaborate AU in my fandom that involves sexual slavery and rape... a lot of rape... and I tend to side-eye fans of it a bit.
It's disappointing, since some of the pairings involved (there's four characters) I do actually enjoy (when it's consensual), but so much of it is dedicated to this AU that I can't browse tags for it without finding a million bits of art/fic/squee/cosplay.
(Yeah. People want to cosplay an AU based around rape. At conventions. Dude, what, no, enjoy it online, but don't bring that shit out in public!)
