Ita, OP. There's absolutely nothing wrong with repeating the name. Sure it gets repetitive, but for the love of God, it's so much better than all the gratuitious description. What's even worse though, is when the author doesn't even try to differentiate the characters. Just use 's/he' over and over again. I've seen it happen in porn a few times, and it always leaves me going '???'
