That is so adorable to me, especially because when FotR first came out I hadn't read the books yet, and thought GANDALF of all people was going to betray everyone.

When I was reading the books, I absolutely mistrusted Aragorn for a long time and got kind of anxious when Sam started letting his guard down against him. XD

But I kind of agree with OP's mom, Hugo Weaving didn't seem too trust-inspiring even though he was supposed to be one of the good guys.

Some friend of mine took Gollum's comment at the end of Two Towers about how "SHE could do it...." as "Oooh, Galadriel IS evil!! I knew it!"

Bwahahaha... Your mom is hilarious, Anon. I thought Hugo Weaving was good in the role, but he didn't really define it for me the way other characters in the movie did for their roles.
