No, it's not "the way it is", it's the way that someone interpreted the words. Which is what allows for someone else to come along and read the same thing and interpret a different meaning. Communication on the internet is not black and white. No one's guaranteed to read an exact meaning into anything.

And they way that someone "interprets" words can be incorrect. The fact that we're on the internet doesn't change that. It doesn't change the fact that, if you're reading something into a statement that isn't there, or if the point that you're deriving is completely off base, then you're wrong.

So...individual interpretation is never wrong and is always above reproach, regardless of the source material?
