Famous People You've Met

I always miss meeting famous people. When I was in high school a few months ago, the cast of the new Star Trek movie came to my town for filming, and my friend got to take a picture with them. I was really jealous.

Taylor Swift is coming to one of the colleges that's part of my consortium and there was a raffle for tickets, but I didn't win. It's sad, but I really want to meet a celebrity.

What celebrities have you guys met? They don't have to be super well-known.

Eh, not many interesting ones. The last one was stopping Felicia Day for like 30 seconds on the E3 show floor so I could take a pic of her and my friend.

A few hockey players too. The most interesting one being Jarome Iginla. :P

I've met Lunette from Big Comfy Couch, Captain Kangaroo, a Chicago news team, and Stanley from The Office (US). Quite an eclectic bunch, huh? :)

Mink Stole at a screening of 'Pink Flamingos'

David Heavener (B-movie director/actor/writer and singer) at a screening of his film 'Outlaw Force.'

Stood/sat next to Jeffery Combs at a screening of 'From Beyond.' He was like standing next me and watching the movie with us. I was too nervous to say hi later though.

The writers/directors of 'The FP' (again, at a screening of the movie).

Saw Roger Corman and his wife at screening of 'Sharktopus.

Some of those I didn't really "meet," but I'm counting it. :)

Ursula Vernon won a Hugo so I guess she's officially famous now. :D She was the first person to comment on my art that wasn't already a personal friend waaaaay back when.

My uncle is a fairly well-known jazz musician, so that's probably my most realistic answer. A friend of mine had sex with Donald Glover. That's probably the most fandom-relevant answer. But my most honest answer... is no one. I haven't met anyone, in any realistic way, who I like up to. I can't. I would get really anxious and freak out. I'm not that good with people, unfortunately. Even people who aren't really "famous", who are just fandom-famous. I am just too awkward :(

In 1999, when I was a tiny tween I met this nice little blond British boy who was in Anna and the King or something. Nice chap, really. What he was doing in a church out in the boonies, I'll never know.

I also once befriended the wife of some music guy named Fabien when we were staying at the same hotel. Really nice lady.

ETA: Oh, and this probably doesn't count, but two of my dad's friends swear up and down that they smoked a joint with Joan Jett back in the day.

The previous setting of Sabaton at a signing session att Metaltown 2010. Got photo taken with Jocke (vocals).
Oscar Dronjak ( Hammerfall), at a bus stop on the way back from Metaltown -11. He asked about how to get SMS-tickets for the bus.

I feel you there. I don't think I've ever met anyone famous. Or even anyone who later became famous. And I'd love to meet Taylor Swift, I've heard she's so nice and I love her music.

I met Isaac Asimov a long time ago when I was a little girl--also, Norman Borlaug, a year or two before his death, and this spring I met the Nobelist in chemistry for 2011, Dan Shechtman.
