A) His name is not Laputa. Laputa is the name of the Castle in the Sky. IIRC, the guy in the picture is a villain.

b) The name Laputa comes from Gulliver's travels. And since the novel is British, I highly doubt Swift was thinking about the spanish meaning of "Puta".

Heh. Friends of mine used to write fanfic about this cartoon in high school.

But in notebooks with a pen, since the Internet was still the ARPAnet and none of us had access to it. Heck, there was only an Apple IIe in the library and very few of us had personal computers...

Don't tell us what it is or anything. Just wish really hard and you'll get your fandom

I can't say I ever shipped it (I had zero interest in romance back when I was in love with this show)... but now I really want to watch it again even more, because they were my two favorite characters and I've actually considered cosplaying the two of them with my girlfriend. XD

I loved the original Dungeons and Dragons cartoon! The first "bamph" story I ever watched. My favorite character was Baby, but then I was around 8 and in love with horses and unicorns, so...

I'd really like to chance to watch it again. I wonder if it's up somewhere. Now that I'm all grown up, I'll probably ship those characters, too!

Always bugged me that we never had an ending. That stupid Skull King! (That was the bad guy, right?)

That show is awesome, but I ship Eric with Diana. Sorry, OP.

I watched this again recently and, well, oh jeez, it was not what I remembered it to be. The only slash fic I ever read was Hank/Eric - Playing With Fire by astolat. She also had a long gen story. Her fic site: http://intimations.org/fanfic/

I wouldn't say I shipped it... But I liked Eric's and Presto's interaction the most, when I wasn't busy gushing over Bobby. (Kid had a unicorn, it made him an instant favorite for kid!Me.) ... Now, if I'd rewatch it as an adult... HM. 8D

God I loved this show. I was way young when it first came out (1983!) but loved pretending I had an invisible cloak. Me and my sister watched it again on reruns about, 10 yrs later I think, and had a great time giggling over 'Hunky Hank' and what a dick the Dungeon Master was.

I love this show.

I'd ship it...but I'm pretty certain there was something going on between Hank and Eric.

Holy shit!! I wouldn't have thought of this in a hundred years, but now that you mention it, it sort of makes sense. It's the kind of stereotypes I actually love to slash together.
