what I hate the most is when people say it, and then when they get called out on it they seem 100% serious, because they think the world would be better off without those people. Those get to me the most

Yes. This. People saying "go die" when they mean "fuck off" is annoying, but people saying "go die" and meaning "go die" is CREEPY.
