Reposting this in general comments, since so many people said they don't read past them, and the first attempt was a misfire (that has some comments, so please don't delete, case?)

So, I've got this idea for a follow-up fic where Character A comes home after a bad day at work and has couch sex with his wife that is so frantic and needed that they don't even declothe all the way. It's so hot in my head, but I can't make any remotely sexy words come. This is frustrating. Tips, suggestions, or sympathy?

Also, the impetus for the sexy times is that he's just been confronted by someone who spied him on a date with his (closeted to everyone else) genderqueer wife and thought he was out with a not only cheating but cheating with a man. This does a number on his head, and while I think it all ultimately goes places that are good, you can see why that might cause some internet wank that I don't particularly want to deal with.

Man, when I get smutty scenes in mind that I can't write, I end up really turned on and just have to fap to my mental image of the scene. I usually think once that's taken care of I can write, but then I'm kind of...done with it...until I feel like writing again. And then: lather, rinse, repeat.

I must be be a really emotional writer/thinker though. Because the other day I was just in bed trying to sleep and let my mind wander into a potential scene where somebody dies in their lover's arms and ended up in TEARS. Seriously, I hardly ever mind being single but dooooood. So needed someone to hold me.
