Re: Punishing kids (trigger warning)

+1 to this.

I've worked with children before, and there are some really bad eggs that honestly could probably benefit with some kind of corporal punishment. The one kid I'm thinking of in particular was like the example above - raised with absolutely no discipline in the home, major respect issues (especially with women, which was disturbing), behavioral problems to the max.

For that one kid I would've recommended corporal punishment, but only because nothing else worked; it was the last resort. It would've worked for him.

/obviously different things work for different kids, not saying everyone should/needs to use corporal punishment
