so it's another one of those "read Homestuck but avoid the fandom" things?

that's all of homestuck really. Though fair warning... this fandom sucks you in. by the time your a few thousand pages in your one of us anyway so you figure you might as well check out all the sweet fanart and music and audio dramas and oh,well, I do look like dave, maybe I should participate in nudestuck?

Or just don't read Homestuck. I recommend that course of action, because it's seriously not good enough to justify putting up with the fandom that comes with.

Oh please. Anybody who actually lets the fandom decide if something has merit or not is the worst kind of fan/hater. The source material should be all that matters in terms of if you like something or not, because every other part can be easily avoided.

Except in the case of Homestuck, dude, or other things that have a huge creator/fandom involvement. Supernatural is another one of those, and it gets to the point where one gets deliberately tainted with the other.

In these cases, not liking the fandom is an excellent reason to avoid the source material.

Nope. I can't stand Supernatural or it's fans, but I arrived at these conclusions separately.

Death's pretty awesome though, can't deny that.
