Sorry, I think I was combining two stereotypes used for mean fat dudes (but yes, I've definitely met rednecks. Texas has far too many. Oh God). I was thinking of the heavily accented, uneducated fat redneck/sometimes flat out Hillbilly in overalls (who may or may not have a shotgun) and then there's a weird one I've seen once or twice with a fat blond guy wearing suspenders (propeller hat optional) who has a very low IQ with violent tendencies.

Personally, I'm waiting for the arrival of that person who got really offended that one time someone said there were people in the Bible Belt with whom they disagreed.

IIRC, they were upset because someone said, "I disagree with some people in the Bible Belt," and they were like, "I LIVE THERE AND I'M NOT RELIGIOUS OR BUCK-TOOTHED. I'M ALSO REALLY ANGRY NOW, GEEZ."
