I'm pretty sure they do know - after all, at least half the Sterek shippers are also Supernatural fans. You'd think they would recognize queerbaiting when they see it.

Definitely. Dylan (Stiles) has said that he doesn't get the ship and that Jeff likes to tease the fans, but most of the Sterek fans have yet to comment on it.

Which is kind of funny, considering how fast some people are to jump all over the other actors who've said they were baffled by Sterek or didn't quite get the ship.
