Real talk on this. Here's what I did.

> Blocked all the names of the alpha trolls (since they're my main gripe with Homestuck right now), without hashtags.

You can block the other character's names too without hashtags and that should catch most of the posts. Works for me.

You can tumblr savior urls, so while it doesn't cut down on everything, you can atleast hide untagged stuff being reblogged a million times over.

A-fucking-men. Dear god. I'm sick of that Homestuck bullshit cluttering my dashboard. It doesn't make me want to get into it at all, it just repels me.

I follow a lot of fandom related blogs, and I can tolerate different fandoms but with the Homestuck crowd it's posted way too much of the inside jokes and it's just... annoying.

I'll probably just unfollow the people who keep repeatedly posting Homestuck. Sorry... even if they are nice people it has become really grating at this point.

Is the unfollow or ask button seriously that hard to reach?
Someone asked me to tag homestuck, so I did. They eventually unfollowed me anyway, so I stopped tagging it because practically everything I post is HS-related so I can't be bothered. If I get another request, I'll do it. People don't know you want it tagged if you don't ASK. And if they're rude enough to ignore your request then just unfollow them, geez.

My advice to you is to step back. Stay away a month or two. One of two things will happen:

You got a lot to read when you get back and maybe it was the sequential reading you liked and you are exicted again...

or

You will realize you don't even care to check, and you will know, and that will be that.

ACTUALLY. Like right after I submitted this, it updated with John going into the desert and I got excited again. :D But yeah it doesn't hurt to take a break once in a while.

But seriously, if you find yourself waning, that's what I'd reccomend. You can burn yourself out on things, and you wanna step back and see if you are burnt out or if it's really ruined for you. too much burn out can cause something more permanent. And it's easy to burn out on something when it has a much energy as the homestuck fandom can sometimes.

Never! Haha. Even if I do get tired of it, I'd like it to be one of those things I can revisit years from now. I think it helps to balance it out with other interests, too, which I didn't do for a while...you know how a shiny new fandom can suck you in.
