Yeah, the Avengers tie-in movies are mostly pretty good, but Marvel has had its share of bombs as well. X-Men: The Last Stand, XMFC, The Ang Lee Hulk, Daredevil, and Electra were all pretty horrible.

First Class wasn't a bomb though. I mean I detest that movie despite the fact that I watch it all the time... but it wasn't a bomb. It's getting a sequel too.

First Class wasn't a bomb. Dislike it all you want, but it still did what Marvel wanted and made some good money. Also, don't forget: X-Men is owned by Fox now, so when you say "Marvel," you should kind of leave those ones out.

All the X-Men/Wolverine atrocities are Fox's fault, not Marvel's.

Fox won't ever let those characters go. I think they even managed to save Daredevil at the last minute, no?

I can't say for sure because I haven't been keeping up on FOX's antics lately but I think I heard something about Marvel getting Daredevil back.

But yeah, the X-Men (all mutants probably... unless Disney lawyers can work some magic) and the Fantastic Four are lost to the MCU. :\

But those weren't tied to Marvel?

I think the first movie funded and tied to Marvel was Iron Man? Whereas DD, X-men, Electra etc were 20th Century Fox? So technically, although they are Marvel characters, they aren't really Marvel in-house movies.
