I've tried things like that, if OP's ship is anything like mine no matter what I tried over the years I only ever got a promt filled once.

Sorry to hear that. At least with Yuletide, it could simply be bad luck -- perhaps there was someone out there, offering to write your fandom, but said person just wasn't matched to you.

Is there any specific series/pairing that you want fic for...? I'm into a lot of obscure stuff myself, so you never know... Perhaps I could point you in the right direction!

The ship is Alex Row/Sophia Forrester from Last Exile. I'm pretty sure I've found everything there is, and have started writing for it just to have something out there.

This is an excellent ship from an excellent series, I'm sorry to hear that its not getting enough recognition but I guess I shouldn't be surpised given that I found the fandom to be practically nonexistent... or I just didn't lurk hard enough.

The fandom is nearly dead, and I fear for it. Even the sequel coming out didn't help. It did get rather active on tumblr when the sequel was airing, but most of that was either complaining about the sequel,(which personally I loved.) or gushing about Dio.
