Mostly I'm just wondering who's more powerful.

Cthulhu is a GOD. I refuse to believe Slenderman can defeat Cthulhu.

For me it depends on how these beings retain power.

For instance, if you believe in the way The Dresden Files determines strength for such creatures they may be more equally footed. In that world it is mortals' belief or knowledge of an entity that gives it its powers.

Both Cthulu and Slender were created by the human mind. While Cthulu is older Slender is growing in popularity. I would say Cthulu still has more power now but if the Slender phenomenon continues to grow they may find themselves on even footing.

If it is simply as they are we would have to determine what Slender is first. What if, he too, is some sort of deity?

I have a bias for Cthulhu, of course. It is very difficult for me to imagine a world where Slender is more powerful than Cthulhu. What if their powers are determined by their characteristics upon conception? Cthulhu is a cosmic horror, a being who used to rule the Earth. To see Cthulhu in full is to loose your mind. It's almost inconceivable to have Slender defeat Cthulhu.

That's very true.

Personally, I'm into any definition if explained well enough. I also agree that about Slender's power levels, which is that they couldn't be vastly more than Cthulu. I could only believe that with a very good writer. Then again, I'll believe almost anything with a very good writer.

But don't worry; you'll always be the most powerful Cthulu in my heart.
