Eh... tangent, but this whole "recipt" concept just seems to be another way for people to keep bagging on somebody for something even if they've legitimately changed since then. I've never seen it used when somebody wasn't being spiteful and adopting a "never forget, you are a horrible person forever" mentality.

Just asking for examples/references on what the OP thinks as douchebaggy behaviour by Wil Wheaton. They keep talking about it but they never actually linked to anything specific. I don't even know very much about this Wil Wheaton person, although I am intrigued by what seems to be two very different views on the guy.

I'm with you. I've never seen Wil Wheaton do anything as a person annoying. otherwise... well even he admits Wesley Crusher was horrible.

George Takei forwards a lot of stuff, and some of it has been less than feminist? That's not an attack, it's a true thing.

Doesn't make him top to toe evil. Just makes him somebody who likes gender-essentialism in jokes. And given how popular he is in nerd circles, mentioning that not everything he reblogs is comedy gold and that some of it is actually douchey even though it comes from Takei seems pretty fair to me.
