(Anonymous) 2012-10-20 04:40 am (UTC)(link)You really need to try stepping out of your skewed perception before you tell people they're wrong. You're operating under a very narrow focus and basically telling people they're wrong when they don't share that focus.

There are many ways gay men are treated in fandom. Normally not nicely, as far as I can tell. What I said was a couple of anecdotal stories I have. So... I'm not really sure what you're saying here.
I haven't said anyone was wrong yet. Merely that I hadn't experienced that. I also accepted this person's story. My reaction was, "Wow, that happened. This is what happened to me. Let's compare and accept both as true."
What you are calling narrow mindedness is me learning and stepping out. So thanks for that.
I'm so narrow minded but you seem to be picking and choosing what I say and not actually reading my entire message. So again, maybe you should reread what I wrote?
