Like the person before me wrote, the interest in fandom comes and goes. There are some years that I don't have any interest in participating in fandom, and the next year I'm happily reading fic or drawing things. But I have to say that I've lost all interest in going to cons or squeeing after actors, so you could say my fandom experience has become more passive after I turned 20.
