"GOOD" in terms of music is opinion-based only. You can't decide a band is universally good. You're not in that kind of position.
Personally, I think they sound like complete shit. And no, that's not for "durr hipshtur" reasons, either. I just hate their music.

People can like things that they consider "bad" for their normal taste, or are embarrassed to admit.
It's called a "guilty pleasure."

People judge people based on everything. Welcome to one of the basic elements of socialization. Poor baby.

the implication is that it's a guilty pleasure purely because 'melodramatic' and only 'for whiny teenagers' which is kind of judgemental of other people
