It's actually a mock up that someone made of the characters from Phonogram (another Gillen and McKelvie comic put out my Image) on the YA cover. Of course, I wasn't paying attention when I was grabbing stuff and making up the secret, so I only realized as much after I'd submitted. *facepalm*

But, uh, McKelvie art is awesome and it makes for nice symmetry? Or something.

If you haven't read Phonogram, it's awesome and all the characters are flawed but human people and they play with magic based on the power of music.

ngl, i'm going to be reading this series solely because I'm a huge fan of the Gillen/McKelvie team up and it'll tide me over because Phonogram 3 is delayed.

I haven't, actually. It's one of those things that's been on my to-read list for awhile, but based on this comment, I may have to bump it up a bit! Especially since anything that involves Gillen/Music OTP is kind of rad by definition.

I've tries to read Phonogram, but that whole indie hipster music snobbery stuff that was in it put me off the book. Kohl reminded me of too many people in my life that I wanted to punch.
