Just because something is brilliant fanfic doesn't mean it's going to make brilliant original fic. In fact, it probably won't, because good fanfic requires its canon source for context, or it's not going to make sense.

Taking fanfiction and changing the names in order to publish it is really shitty original fiction, not to mention incredibly fucking lazy. If you want to be published, put a little effort into it and write something original.
