Halloween TV

[personal profile] fenm 2012-10-20 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
So, I know I'm a little early, but: What are your favorite scary/creepy/Halloween-themed episodes of TV shows you like? Extra points for appropriate episodes from series that aren't usually scary/creepy/supernatural.

Me? Well, there's the Halloween episode of Ouran High School Host Club ("Until the Day it Becomes a Pumpkin!"), several of the Simpsons "Treehouse of Terror" eps (yeah, that's kinda cheating... oh, well), Doctor Who's "Horror of Fang Rock" and "Blink", and the Invader Zim Halloween episode ("Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom").

Share some of yours!

"Sorry I'm late. Horrible... nightmare visions..."
"It's called life, Dib. Sit down."

I've not seen that yet. I know, I'm an awful, uncultured person... O-:

But, actually, I'm wondering about episodes of TV shows. (-:

Naw, it's okay.

Oh, TV episodes. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Um... um.... You know, I don't think I have any that I like. I have just realized this. I wonder why. I know I've seen a few but... none of them some to mind and anything I really enjoyed. I'm sorry.

Nightmare before Christmas (not a show but...) and Simpsons Treehouse of Horror. I remember being creeped out by the one with Bart's twin who lived in the attic...

I'm ridiculously fond of these two and I don't even celebrate Halloween!

I LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas! Oh I need to watch that soon... (-:

The twin one was great (though the twist was predictable). I love the "Burns as a vampire" story as well... I'm sure there are others... The Halloween episodes are the only Simpsons I bother to watch any more, and some are still pretty good.

Treehouse of Horror specials are must watches at Hallowe'en for me, especially The Shinning.

They don't really come on anymore, but, The Angry Beavers episode The Day the World Got Really Screwed Up and the Hey Arnold episode that spoofs the War of the Worlds radio panic are among my favorites.

Community's "Introduction to Statistics" and "Epidemiology" (zombie virus outbreak set to the music of ABBA!)are totally rad Halloween episodes. "Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps" is pretty good too but I love the previous two a lot more.
