No, but it sounds completely insane.

I also find it funny that the Sonic character is named 'Gear' since the Mario character is named 'Marcus', and Marcus Fenix is the main character from the Gears of War series. So now I'm just imagining Marcus Fenix dressed as Mario and a giant COG symbol as Sonic and wth is that mental image.
