It's the opposite for me. I find Stiles to be an idiot. I don't relate to him at all, and don't even find him likable, but I wouldn't be offended if he was made to represent us. I'm more offended by how many canon bi or queer characters there are on tv already who aren't ficced by the heteronormatives because they're not 'hot.' If people are genuinely interested in our rights rather than their fap privilege, then they'd be supporting those characters more, but instead a lot of those characters are ignored while the focus (from mostly straight women, you know it's true) is on getting two straight dudes to hook up and be made canon. That's not about our rights, that's about BEING RIGHT, and looking for validation.
