Yes, and I would've loved the ending of Yuugiou having the Pharaoh Atemu running into Yuugi's arms as they promptly begin snogging. Alas, twas not so. That's why we have fandom, though. 8D Beause that way, we can just pretend that canon is a little different than what it actually is.

It's the manga that gives me my Ed/Win/Al OT3, and I consider that storyline seperate from the manga. But ultimately, even if it get's frowned upon by elitists (in which I say "GTFO, I've been watching FMA since the summer of 04"), I rely my canon on the anime, rather than the manga.

And there's nothing wrong with doing that, either. Some people prefer the manga over the anime, or vice versus. Choose your canon from one of those, and then Elricest will totally be more viable. 8D ♥

Haha, I don't watch that show but I think everyone I know who does agrees with you.

Seriously, I ship what I want. I do like to alternate, and that is my favorite OT3 from the series but I'm definitely an Elricest first fan. Which is probably why the movie has become my favorite part of that series.

Yeah, and I love the people that have been into it for two years that think they have standing to be elitist on the topic.

I'm not the biggest participant in the Elricest fandom, to be honest. I lurk more than anything, and provide fic every once in a while. The same goes for a lot of the fandoms I'm in. Like IchiRuki, where there's been enough wank to last... well, a long time. The Elricest fandom has had it's moments too, and since I like to avoid wank, I stay on the outer edges of the fandoms. xD That being said, I would hope most of the fandom would agree, but I wouldn't be concerned if they didn't.

Shipping what you want is really what matters, when it comes down to it. And if you like alternating, go for it! Do whatever you want, because what's most important about fandom is that you have fun. If you're not having fun shipping a pairing because you think it's "right," then you're doing something wrong. That's what I say, when it comes to shipping wars. It doesn't matter which pairing is right or wrong, canon or not, as long as people are enjoying themselves.

I ignore those people. Or laugh at them. Depending on the mood I'm in.

Sorry to butt, but I completely agree with you on shipping. I hate people that look down on others cause they don't ship the "right" pairings in fandom, or because theirs is apparently more canon than another. And it is actually possible to ship the same character in more than one pairing, which apparently is some sort of sin for them -.-

I never get into the fandom, since when I watched FMA I was a wee noob who had no idea it even existed, but damnit if I wasn't in front of my screen at midnight every Saturday when it came on. Apparently, though, that still didn't make me as good of a fan as them.

Honestly, there's enough wank on ElJay right now, without adding shipping wars to it. Frankly, I'm a big proponent of the idea "Let's just get along while we agree to disagree." And if someone wants to ship X/X, or Y/Y, then go for it. Even if I don't like it. Hell, it doesn't matter what I don't like, because it's that other person's art/writing/whatev.

Now, of course, I think that's the pesky thing most people call earth logic, so I guess I'm not supposed to think that way. :|
