I'm not sure I think CLAMP is overrated as much as I think they can't come up with an original idea to save their lives and they kind of suck at writing. (Pretentious liek whoa)

At least their art is pretty?

Really, you think their stories are unoriginal? I dunno... I kinda always thought CLAMP had some pretty cool and unique stories to tell, with even better characters to tell them with.

Though I agree a lot of the characters eventually fall into the cliché rut, which in turn makes the story falter.

I can't think of anything CLAMP has done that hasn't been done before, thematically.

Then my anime knowledge is a sad and pathetic thing. Though to be fair, anime only consists of the same few themes that get reused by everyone, not just CLAMP.

Maybe it’s just the CLAMP characters I love.
