Shouldn't have to say this but...

Mutant =/= Non-heterosexual

Did you somehow miss the fact that mutants have long been used as a correlation for minorities, including QUILTBAG people?

They've long been used with a correlation to every group that gets oppressed. But they're actually very different and a lot of their stories become horribly offensive if you always view them through this lens. If they're taken as their own group with their own seperate issues it becomes easier to accept certain things.

I don't think Rogue wanting to get rid of her powers because they kill and stop her from ever being able to have physical contact that she wants = a LGBT person wanting to become "normal"

That's my point, the two aren't always the same thing.
