NA

Do you have any reommendations?
So far I've only come across two or three movies with homosexual or bisexual women which DIDN'T treat their sexuality like some form of sex fantasy for the straight male audience :/

I'd really like to see more movies with good plots instead of just "look, two girls together! SO HOT!"

Sure!

I Can't Think Straight is a pretty good romantic comedy (why don't I own it yet?) and I haven't seen The World Unseen, but it has the same actress and director.

Imagine Me and You
Better Than Chocolate (this one really opened my eyes to the discrimination of trans* people within the queer community...it's serious but also sweet and at times hilarious).
The Incredibly True Adventure of 2 Girls In Love
D.E.B.S is a bit different from the rest. It's a regular romance, set against the backdrop of a spy school, and one of the spies falls in love with a super villain. (Again, why haven't I bought this yet wow)

All of these have happy ends!

Fire - here's the link since it has such a generic name. This was, I believe, the first lesbian film to show in India and it was a huge controversy. The women stay together in the end. The audio is in English.

The Journey - Another Indian film, in Malayalam with English subtitles. I love it but the ending ambiguous as to whether the women stay together (I think there's implied suicide, depending on how you look at it. I prefer to think otherwise, obviously). It's also kinda trippy (not the whole movie, just the ending).

Spider Lillies - Taiwanese film, in Chinese with English subs, about a tattoo artist and a webcam girl. Kind of dark, but it's implied that they stay together.

The last three (and The Incredibly True Adventure of 2 Girls in Love) are kind of slow moving, but it's actually a nice pace and it's worth it for all of them.

OH, and also the TV show Exes and Ohs. It has two seasons and sadly I doubt there's going to be a third (there was a long hiatus between them, and then I think Logo decided not to be a 'gay' network anymore ugh), but it's a cute comedy about a group of mostly gay women. I got some second hand embarrassment by some of the things the main character does but it's hilarious and worth it.
