Off-topic, but I always get weirdly bothered by the spelling of "pseuicide" and much prefer "pseudocide." Something about including the whole prefix, I guess.

Anyway, holy shit that would be an amazing story and I would love to read it.

Like an idiot I looked up the story mentioned and now I am too creeped out to sleep. All the twists were super obvious, but it still horrified me. FAWK. WHY DID I DO THAT. WHY.

There's a reason that he's the best, and it's not because he was a good writer in the technical sense of the word. It's because he was HIDEOUSLY FUCKED UP in the most amazing ways and thus some of the things he wrote just render you incapable of sleep for days.

Yeah... the writing itself leaves something to be desired--I especially hate when a character has to be a complete idiot for the plot to work--but the concepts behind it? FULL BODY SHUDDER

I can see the strengths of both sides, I just enjoy the fact that I always hear "pseuicide" as "suicide" with the emphasis on the first syllable. It's like a lovely mating of Sue and suicide which, in many cases of pseudocide is an accurate gloss.

Actually, I'm making up a source material for the characters to wank over rather than using an actual intellectual property. But you're right, anyone who reads such a novel must have a sense of humor.

That's brilliant. I love this idea, as a fellow writer I'm jealous I didn't think of it first.

Please include a great amount of wank over whether people are making the villain a "woobie". (Anything analogous to the Loki/Hiddleston love and wank would be truly excellent.)

Don't be jealous. Alas, I confess that I am not the originator of this concept. I've seen some jocular references to Lovecraftian abominations' influences on fandom in LiveJournal conversations and elsewhere—"Nyarlathotep probably invented fanfic" and the like. Someone even proposed writing a story that explored this theme, but no such piece ever materialized. Therefore, I'm taking it upon myself to ensure that such a novel exists.

Loki/Hiddleston wank? Are you referring to this (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/1288724.html#cutid1)? Well, the story's supposed to be set ten to eleven years ago, so Twitter and Tumblr won't exist, but I think I can work something out. Thank you for the suggestion.

You could do it Sam the Storyteller style and do a massive beta read version, then edit for publishing. I mean, It'll be a nine-days wonder in fandom (just consider how well character-does-fandom fics do) and if nothing else you could self-pub. Does Op have an empty Ao3 story or a lj/dw I could subscribe too, so I know when you're done?
