Am I the only one freaking out about the amazing Iron Man 3 trailer? Seriously, suit!porn! Anyone? Bueller?

Sorry, but it's actually a sad experience for me. See, this is the part where I have to excuse myself from the active part of Avengers fandom and comfort myself with reading up on old fanfic and turn my interests to other things until IM3 comes out in theaters, because I can't stand the whole trailer-speculation stage of movie fandoms and despise the boatload of spoilers and false expectations and general movie-experience-ruining theories that come with it. Must a side effect of being too used to fangirling over TV shows, whose promos don't come out until a couple weeks before the season premiere starts.

*sigh* But summer and fall has been one of the most satisfying few months I've ever had, fandom-wise, so not gonna regret that.

I think it looks very cool from a visual standpoint. I also think the plot (what little we've seen of it) looks kind of stupid and cliched. I'll still go see it, but I'm not really WOW about it at this point.

I think a lot of it is because--post-Avengers--the Big Bads in solo movies can't be that terrible, complex, or interesting. If they were, they'd just call in the Avengers again to deal with it instead of leaving it to the superhero of the movie. It's a really had sell after all that TEAMWORK.

I am! It's nice to be getting back to the solo movies after the mess that was Avengers [sorry, but I *hated* how they handled that movie]. Though, I'm kind of half-wondering, from what I've seen said elsewhere, if they're involving a 'suit becomes sentient' plot, like there was in the comics.
