What pairing is that? My brain is seeing Stiles and Agent Mulder.

I thought it was younger versions of David Duchovny and Wil Wheaton. ...Oops.

Mulder/Krycek.

Ahh, Krycek. One armed triple double agent that Mulder enjoyed using as a therapy bag for his many Issues. It was awesome.

Even though I logically know it's Krycek I kept seeing it as young Will Wheaton. xD

Came here to say this. So glad it's not just me.

Came here to ask/say this. And then saw all the replies. We are not alone!

(Anonymous) 2012-10-28 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
My knee-jerk assumption was "Must be from Teen Wolf (because it's always Teen Wolf these days)". Then I took a second look and realized one of them was Mulder, which lead to recognizing the other as Krycek.

ME TOO.

Which would be pretty, if a little icky because Stiles is underage and Mulder is over 30. But I doubt it's what the artist was going for.

High-five for using that picture!

OMG IT'S A MULDER/KRYCEK SECRET.

Help, help, I'm so happy I actually covered my mouth and squealed out loud in delight. They are one of those timeless pairings I judge all other fandom Foe Yay by. :)

IMO using fictional guys as a judgement on what to look for in real guys is kinda a bad idea in general. I mean, the depictions of men in media are often just as idealized as depictions of women.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-27 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
So...men who are written basically to be women, but have teh peniz, turned you off of straight men? You do realize slash fiction is (mostly) a woman's idealization of homosexual men and not the reality, right?

(Anonymous) 2012-10-27 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Careful, some slash fangirls might want to bitchslap you for that, as in : "Nooooo, there is absolutetly no difference between male and female writing and how dare you say that!" *eyeroll* I just wish more men would write slash because i'd rather read two men going at it then two women with dicks. When i want to read about women sexing i search for women sexing, but when i want slash, i want goddamm men!

Noooot a good idea to take cues from fiction on anything to do with relationships.

Although I sincerely hope you don't believe real gay men are anything like they are in most slash fiction because I am sorta side-eying this due to that possibility.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-27 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh... bisexual guys exist. I mean, what are you actually thinking got ruined? The fact that straight guys don't go around kissing and fucking other guys? Or maybe you are wanting a guy who is like an overwhelming top, or a super bottom.

I'm confused by this secret. How do you think straight guys are ruined for you?

That's kind of like saying that watching tv shows has ruined you for living real life. I mean, it totally can. You can spend all your free time locked in your house with your tv sets and chatting about fandom on line with people. But it's pretty unsatisfying after a while. Eventually you'll want to live something non-vicariously.

Real life dudes have major advantages over fanfic ones. For one thing, you can actually interact with them. They are touchable. You can have conversations and fun with them. They can be your actual friend instead of your imaginary one. They make you feel like a real person. It's so much more satisfying.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-28 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
This just makes me imagine some kind of fanfiction equivalent to reddit's /r/nofap.

If you go three months without fandom, your brain will recalibrate and you'll be able to appreciate men who aren't sparkly, weepy, or sexually menacing!

My first slash pairing :) ♥

Still, I have no clue as to what you mean it's ruined you for straight men. Are you no longer looking for straight men? Are you disappointed straight men don't have magically lubed asses? Thought I'd ask that given the age of the fandom you chose for your base image ;)

(Anonymous) 2012-10-28 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Hang on... Mulder/Krycek ruined real live people for you? That relationship was ten kinds of fucked up. Those characters were ten kinds of fucked up. Each. Easily. If this is your unattainable ideal, I don't think "straight" is what you need to worry about.
