Not a native speaker, but I have been studying it for the past seven years so I can imagine what she sounded like, and I don't like it.

Same, man. It's the type of thing where they have characters speak it and it's like "Oh, you're so good at Japanese" and I'm just cringing.

The only show where it makes sense to me was Pushing Daisies, where Chuck spoke Japanese, but that's because canonically she did only learn it from a book, so her pronunciation being not perfect made sense.
