My ex-boyfriend (only one I've had) complained that I wasn't making noise, so I plan to make an effort to do so in the future. Ideally, though, the next guy would either already understand or be able to be made to understand that not everyone is super-noisy involuntarily.

Nope. And the last partner I was with who complained about it, I asked him why he cared so much when he didn't make any noises either. Shut him up real fast since he didn't actually have an answer.

I get off on self-control (...yeah I'm a little weird) so I make myself stay *absolutely silent.* I breathe heavier, but not louder, and so far none of my partners has had trouble figuring out I'm there :)

I tell them about the self-control thing beforehand though, because some of the self-controlling things I do tend to look like I'm not enjoying the sex when actually I enjoy it more when I'm 'holding myself back.'

Growing up sharing a room with my sister meant - silent orgasms! Which just kind of naturally carried through to the rest of my life.

I've always found the orgasm noises in movies (and in porn especially) to be kind of stupid and off-putting.
