oler woman/younger man canon pairings/

I have a thing for books/movies with an older woman/younger man pairing in them, but they seem few and far between, sadly...Can anyone rec me any? Age difference doesn't have to be extreme, just that the woman should be older, even by a small margin. (I think this is mainly a thing for me because I personally prefer younger guys irl, lol.)

Definitely watching this thread for recs. I'm in the same boat as you, OP. Can't think of many off the top of my head, though.

From the top of my head: Kmi wa Pet, The Graduate, Dangerous Liaisons (film and book) and The Knight of the Rose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Rosenkavalier).

Hmm. Have you seen Bomb Girls? It's a recent Canadian series that just aired in the US on Reelz. Sometimes the dialogue is pretty hilariously overwritten, but it's not bad on the whole. Anyway, one of the many subplots sort of fits the bill. I think there's going to be a second season this winter; dunno when it will get to the US though.

They're sort of side characters, butttttt....The vampire delegaes in the Otherworld series have an age difference (The woman is a hundred or so years older)

There's an old movie about a young man and an old lady called, IIRC, "Harold and Maude."

CSB time: when my dad owned a hearse, people would ask him all the time if he'd seen that movie, because the titular Harold drives a hearse. This will never be not amusing to me.

I was going to mention that movie but I figured the OP must have seen it, since among people I talk to it's pretty well-known. But maybe that's just... older people. Heh.

(It's a great movie in my opinion.)

All-American Girl is a kind of cute book where an art teacher (a side character, admittedly) has a relationship with a much younger man. :)

There's a movie called Harold and Maude about a young guy and a much older woman:

I haven't seen it in years, but I remember it being a pretty entertaining film.

Prime with Uma Thurman and Bryan Greenberg. It's not a super happy story at the end, but there is definitely the age gap and how they deal with it.

The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner?

I've been trying to remember the name of this series all day. It's not the most lighthearted series in the world but damn is it good!

I like it too. One of my favorite storylines on Another World (a cancelled soap opera) was when Matt and Donna had a relationship (Matt was the youngest son of Donna's contemporary).

TV:
There is/was Phyllis and Nick on Young and the Restless (haven't watched in a while). I didn't watch Sex and the City much, but there was Samantha and her much younger actor boyfriend (one of the later seasons, I think). On Dawson's Creek, Pacey dated his teacher for a time. On Sisters, Georgie goes back to college and dates one of her fellow students, Brian (played by Joe Flanigan), who is not much older than her son.

There was this TV movie called The World's Oldest Living Bridesmaid - a sophisticated lawyer (Donna Mills), who is always the bridesmaid but never the bride, gets romantically involved with her down-to-earth secretary (Brian Wimmer).

Movies:
There's a side plot in Secret of My Success, but there are some consent issues. There's the movie Class, but I always thought it was kind of depressing. Bull Durham, Annie and Nuke. There's The Proposal, although I don't remember much focus on the age difference. There's White Palace.
