Wait so...if Rumpel was hot would it change things? I mean, Hook is a douche that ran off with a married woman-a married woman who had a CHILD. "Lol Fuck my son, time to get laid pirate style ;D"

They were both a-holes to be honest. And now he's working with Kora, someone who did the exact same thing Rumpel did to someone else's love. He's a douche and a hypocrite.

I agree completely. While no one deserves to have their True Loves heart ripped out in front of them (or really at all), he was completely culpable in the events that led to this. I hate how people are cooing over how he loved Milah so much and now out for revenge like he did nothing. He was an asshole from the moment he stepped on screen.

OP of the comment thread here. Um that's not why I hate Rumpel and Belle so don't assume anything. I actually find Robert Carlyle extremely attractive.

What I don't like is fucked up romances, especially when they are presented as "true love". It being true love gives Belle no real chance of escape and she deserves better then Rumpel who I don't see redeeming himself any time soon. He is evil and magic is corrupting him and I think the show made a mistake going the Beast route with him.

Sorry, I may have been projecting. I made the mistake of mentioning to a coworker that he's my favorite on the show and now I get a lot of "really? with Prince Charming there?" and other bullshit about how he's not good enough because he's not good looking enough.

Carlyle may not be young, but he is most definitely pretty, with those delicate bones and huge, waifish eyes. Especially when the characters he plays are being hurt. My god, that actor hurts so adorably.

He reminds me of Michael Emmerson that way. Again, not leading man attractive and rather older than most boy-toys, but somehow he projects this combination of emotive vulnerability wrapped around a will of steel that just makes beating the shit out of him so attractively delicious. You know he's not going to break. He's just going to bruise.

To be fair, Hook probably doesn't know what Kora did to Regina. I can't see a reason why she would tell him.

I think you don't realize that I love villains regardless of looks.

But I don't like fucked up love stories, I didn't like Milah/Hook because of how it was presented, and the same goes for Rumpel/Belle.

I actually love Rumpel, but I'm starting to like him less as they start to woobify him more and make him less of a happy-go-lucky dark lord.

Belle is the one I don't like though, but it's because I want her to be stronger and stand up on her own two feet. I don't like how the show has made her such a victim so far and that's why the end of the episode frustrated me.
