Coherent plot, sharp dialogue, excellent special effects, entertaining action scenes, good acting, must've been highly enjoyable given how many times people reported rewatching it and how wide a demographic it reached, main criticisms seen across the board were "too simple/kiddish a plot" and "popcorn entertainment", 92% critic and 96% audience fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

You might not like it, and you probably have good reason to and valid criticisms, but to the general population of the world, it was at least seen as a very solid and competently-executed superhero flick.
