Oh fuck yes.

I loved it when in Captain America, they had some people in the credits for ... I think Croatian accent training, but none for the German accent. Because I think they just go "Oh, everyone can do a German accent, just watch any American movie featuring Nazis and you can do it."

Ze stuff zey speak iz not a German accent, nein, nein, nein.

Although Hugo Weaving specifically trained to get the bizarre Austrian dialect down, but as far as I know he did it on his own time, because he's odd. Everyone else was kind of tragic, but it's not like American accents are really any better represented in the vast majority of American films. :/

Oh, God, I could bitch as much about mangled American accents by AMERICANS than about screwed up German. Hayden Panettiere's Southern accent in Nashville is borderline offensive.
