What do you think changelings look like? Changelings in most tales are either indistinguishable from humans physically or incredibly ugly. It's pretty human babies that are most likely to be snatched by magical creatures because their own children aren't that pleasant to look at.

You have clearly never been exposed to either Changeling: the Dreaming or Changeling: the Lost. Or any YA book featuring fairies from the last, oh. Two decades.

That's...like saying because someone hasn't read Twilight they shouldn't question someone saying someone covered in glitter looks like a vampire. There are volumes of literature on ugly changelings. Two role-playing games and some YA books don't suddenly change centuries of myths and legends.

Doobie-doo, well hrm, I came here to say pretty much exactly this. I think it may have something to do with the eye-job he got? I'm not sure.
