True. I may hate the shit he did to Amy and River's narratives and in general The Reichenbach Fall but I must admit that he can make me cry on command.

At least he was reasonably true to Canon with Reichenbach. "A Scandal in Belgravia"? Yeeeeeeaaaah not so much, no.

As much as I loathe ASIB, I have to give Moffat full props for A Study In Pink which I love even more after reading A Study In Scarlet. Just how he got how Sherlock and John met as close as he could to the start of ASIS, I just adored - granted, there aren't a lot of adaptations of the first story to compare to but it's still probably my favorite Sherlock episode.

I have issues with Moffat like a lot of people do, but damn can the man make me sob. Sadly enough, even when I know it's coming. (Like in the season finale of Doctor Who.)

Moffat didn't write The Reichenbach Fall. I don't understand why he keeps getting all the credit for it.

The consensus seems to be that, due to how badly Thompson wrote The Blind Banker, Moffat was looking over his shoulder the whole time while he was writing Reichenbach and making sure he didn't fuck things up again.

Which is ridiculous....it could have easily been Gatiss. :P

TBB isn't actually that bad an episode, plot-wise. It's the racism that sinks it.

I may have worded that wrong — the narrative thread situation+occurance+consequences is solid, is what I mean. The Orientalist plot is rubbish, though.
