The OP was probably thinking of "I had written it" and "I wrote it" at the same time.

that's mighty understanding of you, but i doubt you are correct...that's not a little bit of a mistake, that's like "who taught you how to spoke"

It would have been an easy typo to make if the OP first typed "I wrote," then tried to correct it to "I had written" without thinking. The contracted "had" can be easy to ignore if one speaks a certain dialect of English.

Hell, I've heard dialects of US English that use exactly that form, at least in spoken English (never analyzed their writing, so I don't know if it shows up there, too).

That said, I'm inclined to agree with you. OP changed mental gears halfway through the sentence and ended up not fixing the whole sentence by accident. It happens.
