(Anonymous) 2012-11-01 12:20 am (UTC)(link)That's why I added the "of his own" modifier, actually. I mean, I'm sure he loves the kids and all, but the whole orphanage thing seemed largely about him trying to atone (for something that was in no way his fault, the poor boy).

In a way, he was trying to help these children and atone by giving them something he didn't have when he was their age. Gah, the more I think about it, the more I think the backstory of most of the secondary characters of B't X could have been more developed...
