I get that people wanted more moments between the crew outside of Shepard (to this day, I weep that we never got any Thane-Samara exchanges in ME2, among others), and to be honest, I'd probably be more open to the idea of Tali/Garrus in a romantic context had they said more to one another in ME2, especially during their loyalty missions. (I recall Tali's writer saying he'd wished Garrus had extra dialogue during that, but it all came down to budget reasons. A pity)
