Notes:

To the anon that wanted warnings on .gif secrets: I'm not sure how I could effectively implement that. For triggery or spoilery secrets, one could just not read the text, but for .gifs by the time you get to the warning, it's already moving in your field of vision. If you have a suggestion as to how it could be done without just linking the secret (it's not breaking any rules or containing porn or gore, so that wouldn't be fair), let me know. Putting it in the notes for now.

I thought that I remembered her falling willingly too... well, maybe not 100% willingly, but I definitely remember that Zira refused Kiara's help and even swiped at her paw (in an aggressive "get away from me" gesture, not trying to grab the paw) when Kiara reached out to help her, and then she fell.

It's implied in the theatrical release that she fell willingly...or at least refused help and so might as well have chosen death.

But there was a deleted scene that made it a lot more obvious. Basically Kiara offers her paw to help Zira up and Zira hisses back; "No. Never." and then lets go.

The line itself is pretty chilling and while I also wish they'd kept it in, I can see parents getting worried that it would be too dark for their kids. :P

Oh, interesting. I've never watched the deleted scenes so I had no idea about that part. I'm gonna have to check that out now!
