To the anon that wanted warnings on .gif secrets: I'm not sure how I could effectively implement that. For triggery or spoilery secrets, one could just not read the text, but for .gifs by the time you get to the warning, it's already moving in your field of vision. If you have a suggestion as to how it could be done without just linking the secret (it's not breaking any rules or containing porn or gore, so that wouldn't be fair), let me know. Putting it in the notes for now.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-03 03:01 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, I'm talking about MCU!Steve. I haven't read the comics, and from what I've heard about a lot of the plot arcs and the way the characters I like are often written, I'm probably happier that way.
And I pretty much feel exactly the same way you do about this. I really love seeing a story about character who's a genuinely good person getting to be a genuinely good person. It's both really satisfying and kind of novel, these days.

It is novel, which is kind of depressing when you think about it. Good people doing good things aren't only for children and they aren't poor story writing.
