I love The Lion King 2, there are parts of it I honestly like better than the original (I am, admittedly, not a huge fan of The Lion King to begin with, though I enjoy it well enough). The songs especially are great, with one glaring exception which I tend to skip over on re-watch (it involves Rafiki playing matchmaker and seeing about the great POWER OF LOOOOOOOOOOOVE~).

Agreed on all points. (The color scheme alone of That Part is enough to make me wince.) Of course, I might not be entirely objective about the original, because I have not seen it since I was maybe five. Yeah, Mufasa dying kind of *is* that traumatizing.
