And maybe misogynistic too if having a father is so much more important than two mothers?
Anyway that's pretty ignorant...

Speaking of which, have you guys seen this anti-gay marriage ad?

The sappy music and oh how ~tragic~ it is that gay people have kids. It makes me seeth.

Oh my gosh, that's the funniest thing I've seen all day. XD The ridiculously overprotective mom is there exactly as the other kid falls two whole feet into sand, the one kid has this horrible solemn expression like he's about to snap and kill someone because of his terrifying gay dads, and the way the Dads' feet step into the frame make them look like... mafia hitmen or something- I can't shake the feeling they're about to beat the mom and the other kid up.

In fact, I propose an alternate story- this ad is actually the tale of a child mafia don who lost his mother at an early age, and his two adoptive gangster dads who go around beating up anyone who reminds him of his pain. It's this summer's most anticipated thriller!

...I'd pay to watch that.

Jeez that's awful. The sad expression on the kid, and the over the top mom, and the legs without a face. I think I'd find it more funny if I didn't know of a huge group of the population that takes that shitty argument seriously.

Hahahahahaa!

I was raised by married heterosexual parents (still married after 40 years) and I got hurt all the frickin' time as a kid without someone to hug me immediately because you know what? Parents aren't always going to be physically close enough to their kids every second of every day for that.

I also love the implication that fathers are incapable of providing comfort. I see them do it all the time. My dad always has for me. This also begs the question: "what about lesbians?" If that boy had two mommies, then he'd have TWICE the comforting hugs when he fell down, right?

Pretty offensive to everyone except a minority of paranoid moms who freak out at the idea that anyone else - even other women - could do what they do because that somehow robs them of their identity.

The description tells me I've seen that one before.

It's the point where I realize: these people are now parodying themselves.
